I created this blog to be a space filled with valuable information and inspiring stories. I want the words I create to bring value to this world and your life. This is my little corner of the web where I want to really connect with you and make an amazing community. Whether you are searching for a joy filled photographer, here for inspiring stories, or looking for great tips, I am so glad you're here!
Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time in your life. Maybe a bit overwhelming too… but that’s why I am here. Outdoor venues like Enchanted Valley Barn are the perfect setting for couples wanting a picturesque wedding away from the city.
I wanted to share with you the story of Enchanted Valley Barn, so I reached out to the owners for a Q&A about them and their venue. Choosing a wedding venue is so much more than “that’s pretty.” I know that just like a wedding photographer isn’t just about the photos. It’s the experience you have and the memories you make on your wedding that mean truly everything. Choosing a location to wed the love of your life is all about your feelings. Read on to find out more…
A: Enchanted Valley Barn would like to introduce Kris Bible, owner and operator. In 2020 Kris got the opportunity to take over ownership of the company Enchanted a Valley Barn. As a Gatlinburg local Kris has lots of information about local businesses and vendors. A new father to a sweet baby girl Nora and new business owner this year has been a test, to say the least. Determined and motivated he’s providing service above and beyond the price mark for which you pay, words from the father of a bride in May of this year.
A: Enchanted Valley Barn was an economic move on behalf of two nephews and an aunt. The two nephews both had their sights set on marriage and weren’t happy with the options available. These fellas sweet aunt gave them an option. Though a labor of love, a business was born. Over 5 years later every day is still a labor of love and we can’t wait to share it with you.
A: Though not very eloquent, the name resides in its setting. Nestled in the valley of the Smokies Mountains on a road named Heavens View Lane, enchanted is just about the only to describe it. From our picturesque pond to our elegant arbors and our nostalgic barn there isn’t much that does create some sense of wow here at Enchanted Valley Barn. Come out for a tour and we’ll show you what we mean.
A: That’s a tough one, we have a lot to offer. Our decoration room that is constantly growing, helps relieve some of the stress for our couples. Our bridal suite and groom suite gives our guests a space to themselves without the stress of accidentally crossing paths (can’t ruin the magic of first look!) We offer sound services that help save money but also gives our patrons the ability to curate their own music lists complete with wireless Bluetooth mics for those cry jerking speeches. And the cream de la cream, our property. Sometimes I just go out to the view to getaway. It’s a special place perfect for your special day.
A: You mean to ask, “How would my friends describe their wonderful time out at Enchanted Valley Barn?” We take a special duty on the most magical day some couples ever have, we are what you need. Hanging lights, tying ties, get a beer for the father of the bride, helping granny into the ceremony field, or refilling the ice and water for your guests. Being offered such an honor will never be taken lightly and we hope to always exceed your expectations.
A: If you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. What I mean by that statement is this job wasn’t offered or found in a help wanted ad. Our property Enchanted Valley Barn was going to be retired and we couldn’t let that happen. The previous business owner had enough and expressed exhaustion. After a home-cooked meal and some serious conversation, a deal was stuck. We at Enchanted Valley Barn sought out this service, we want to provide you with the service quality that can’t be matched. And we want to make your special day exactly that…special.
A: I highly suggest couples book the venue first. Venues tend to be one of the higher costs when planning a wedding, so finding the right one with the date you want can be challenging. Venues try to stay booked a year in advance so 2021 and 2022 requests are currently coming in daily. We don’t offer multiple weddings a day for our booking so once a day is booked it’s not available for anyone else.
A: The only season we don’t operate is winter, but oh boy is it beautiful out here on a snowy January day. Spring offers blooming purple Wisteria and apple tree blossoms. Our wildflower garden starts growing then and the pond flora starts to grow each day. Summer heat brings the gentle chirp of frogs once night falls. The longer days of summer offer dance parties and heated corn hole matches. Fall…oh boy fall. The leaves change and the air gets crisp. Our fire pit affords an opportunity for s’ more stations and longer love-fueled evenings.
A: Fun fact is Kris Bible, owner/operator, married his wife at Enchanted Valley Barn before he took over the business. As a patron to the owner, we know what you’re going through. We know what works and what doesn’t. We have been in your shoes. Our wedding at Enchanted Valley Barn is my second favorite day, bested only by the day Nora was born. Let us share the magic we had at the barn for our big day by lets us host yours.
Dara’s Garden is a beautiful wedding venue located in South Knoxville that can accommodate up to 200 guests. One thing I love about this venue is you have the option to have the venue for 12 full hours (hair and makeup in the bridal suite!) and you are able to set up the decorations the day before!
The Kincaid House is truly a unique venue located about 30 minutes outside Knoxville. Their garden setting is absolutely breathtaking and would be beautiful for a spring wedding!
The Magnolia is an all-time favorite venue located about an hour from Knoxville. One awesome benefit of getting married in Pigeon Forge is there are tons and tons of restaurants and lodging for you and your guests. This outdoor Knoxville wedding venue can accommodate 100 guests.
The Trillium Wedding Venue is located in Sevierville, approximately 40 minutes from Knoxville. This stunning venue gives you full access (and views to match!) of those beautiful Smokies we all know and love. This is a bonus listing because it isn’t open yet! But, contact them to book because they are taking bookings for Fall 2021!

I have been working as a professional photographer for over 8 years. Throughout that time I realized that the intimate moments in between the poses were the ones most cherished. My wedding work has been seen in places like The Knot, Wedding Wire, The Carolinas Magazine, Embrace Beauty Magazine, and many other leading industry publications. I’m sincerely grateful for every single one of them, and for the others yet to come. But none of that matters without the experience, the fun, and the results that everyone feels when they look back through their photographs. If you think we’d make an amazing fit contact me today and let’s chat about your wedding!
