Showcasing What I Consider To Be The
There are two very distinct styles of weddings. Those that are in the city and those that are not. Sounds simple enough, right? I bet your wondering why that matters though! It important to figure out just that simple question before even thinking about specific venues. Knowing this is half the battle in figuring out your perfect Wedding Venue in Jacksonville Florida!
Weddings that happen in the city are usually capable of holding a lot more guests, think of venues like ballrooms and halls. The logistics can sometimes be a bit tricky to figure out but if your vision for your wedding involves being in downtown Jacksonville or downtown Saint Augustine, plan ahead to make it go as smoothly as possible.
Wedding venues outside of Jacksonville tend to be more relaxed, intimate and easy going wedding days. These venues typically can accommodate around 100 to 150 loved ones. This is ideal if you were dreaming of saying "I do" in the great outdoors with beautiful views.
Which style of wedding do I recommend? Weddings away from the city definitely hold my heart. I feel like weddings that are located outside of Jacksonville Fl (downtown specifically) tend to be more relaxed, easy-going days where everyone always has a blast!
With that said, this is a very personal decision and it is all about what you two want. It's your wedding day and it needs to fit your specific dream.
The Barn at Cottonwood Ranch is an expansive venue, over 700 acres! The barn itself is built out of the hardwoods located on the property. If you are looking for a super private venue set out in the country with horses, lakes, and sunset views, this is it!
Not your typical rustic barn, one of my favorite features is that all the accommodations are incredibly high-end and beautiful to photograph. The Bridal suite and the grooms suite are located right in the barn, and that makes for a super convenient and relaxed wedding day.
Bowing Oaks Plantation is another great venue if you are dreaming of an outdoor wedding. The favorite ceremony site at the Jacksonville Venue is located at the "I Do" oak tree.
One of my favorite tips about this venue is that there are many spots for photo ops in the area. The big oak trees truly are a quintessential part of beautiful Florida, and Bowing Oaks Plantation has these beautiful trees in plenty!

Located in Jacksonville, Congaree and Penn is truly a one of a kind venue. The reception space is actually made out of an old silo material. There are so many beautiful spots for your ceremony and first look. It is truly amazing!
Some of my favorite spots are the olive orchards, the 100 acre field, and the rice fields. One thing I highly recommend is renting an antique car to use on the day of your wedding. That way you can access all of these amazing spots with ease and style!

Similar to The Barn at Cottonwood Ranch, this venue is a working farm. Bought in 1933 by the great-grandparents of the current owners, this venue has a lot of history!
The main ceremony site, the Oak Lawn, features big doors for a unique entry and views of oak trees and grazing horses. Located only 30 minutes from Jacksonville, this venue is a premier option for outdoor wedding in North East Florida!

Saint Augustine, Florida
The White Room is the only downtown wedding venue on my list. Why? Because I love outdoor weddings and I feel like my couples enjoy their more when they don't have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the city.
But... I gotta make an exception for this beautiful Saint Augustine wedding venue! The White Room boasts amazing views of The Bridge of Lions and has amazing venues options (check out the Villa Blanca!) The White Room is truly a luxury experience that is just simply stunning from the Bridal Suite to the reception.
Tuscan Rose Vineyards is a 25 acre estate located about 30 minutes north of Jacksonville Fl. This Florida wedding venue boasts many ceremony sites, two personal favorites being the Oak Lawn and the Vineyard.
There are so many beautiful places for photos, which is why this one makes it to the top list!

1. If the venue is outdoors, make sure you equally love Plan B if it rains. No one wants to think about the worse-case-scenario when planning their dream wedding. The rain won't get you down if you equally love the interior options of the venue. That could be a beautiful white tent on the lawn, or a stunning white-walled barn with a fireplace at the end of the aisle, or a lush greenhouse to give you all the outside vibes!
2. Light is everything to a photographer. Natural light, diffused light, harsh light, incandescent light, light, light, light. you get the idea. As I walk into your venue and up to greet you in the bridal suite, I am scanning where the best areas are to photograph.
3. If your reception is at a separate venue, add some "fluff time" so that we can run over to the venue to capture it while it's still "untouched" by guests giving you the best detail shots of your beautiful reception.
4. Make sure that you tour your venue at the same time of day that the ceremony will be at. If you’re getting married at 3 pm in July, a field without any shade probably won't be very comfortable. Likewise, if you plan on getting married at 7 pm, steer clear of venues that require lots of natural light for them to be beautiful.
With all of that said, a skilled wedding photographer (ah-em... me!) will make the best of every lighting condition and I am certain that your wedding will be beautiful.
At the end of the day its not about having wedding images that get a ton of likes, it's about documenting the beginning of your love story. so that when you look back on the images I created, you will feel those same emotions. My goal as a wedding photographer is to serve my clients the way they deserve and create snapshots that transcend time and will always bring you back to when it all began.

I am so excited that you found my little corner of the web. The number one thing I want you to know about me is that your experience on your wedding day is everything to me. I want you to know that I am there beside you throughout your most amazing wedding day, know that I have your back, aaand that I will be the one cracking jokes throughout the entire experience.
As for my photography style, it came out of a desire to capture authentic emotions. Real humans who are in love. I developed my style of photography & editing through many years as a portrait photographer first before diving deep into weddings. Throughout that time I realized that the intimate moments in between the poses were the ones most cherished. My wedding work has been seen in places like The Knot, Wedding Wire, The Carolinas Magazine, Embrace Beauty Magazine and many other leading industry publications. I'm sincerely grateful for every single one of them, and for the others yet to come.
But none of that matters without the experience, the fun, and the results that everyone feels when they look back through their photographs.
