The Davis Family
A Day At The Beach

When Bailey reached out about a beach family session while she was visiting her family, I was so excited! I know sessions that involve extended families can be a bit tricky, but I just love how easy going these guys were. We laughed and got some sweet moments with the grandparents, then played in the waves the rest of the time.

Tips for having an amazing extended family session like Bailey did:

  1. Similarly to a wedding day, I will ask for a shot list of family groupings. This is the first part of your session so we get all the necessary shots done. If a family grouping isn’t on the list, it might be forgotten!
  2. Make sure all the parents are smiling towards me and listening for when I give direction. Leave it up to me to make sure the babies look too!
  3. After all the “must-have” images are done, I like to spend the last half of the session capturing sweet little moments between family members and the kiddos. It is important for parents and family to have a happy attitude and the kids will follow suit ๐Ÿ’•
